Leadership Team

John brings nearly three decades of industry leadership in cloud services, software product management, marketing, partner sales, digital promotion, and brand development to his role as CEO of Acumatica. Before joining Acumatica, John served as president and CEO of Unify Square, a leading provider of operations and performance management software and cloud-managed services. He also spent 16 years at Microsoft in a variety of executive-level positions, including corporate vice president of Office and Office 365, where he spurred the digital transformation of Microsoft’s most successful cloud business; and vice president of the worldwide OEM division in marketing and sales, where he jointly oversaw the global distribution and reseller channels for Microsoft.

Wayne Kimber joins Acumatica as the Chief Financial Officer responsible for all aspects of the company’s finance, accounting, business intelligence and legal operations. He brings a wealth of experience in finance and accounting to the role and a proven track record of helping software companies scale and operate. Prior to joining Acumatica, Wayne was the Chief Financial Officer of SymphonyAI and served as the Senior Vice President of Finance and the Chief Accounting Officer of Malwarebytes. Wayne also held senior leadership positions at several technology companies including Cloudera, Guidewire Software, and Ariba, Inc. A native of New Zealand, Wayne holds a bachelor’s degree in management studies from the University of Waikato.

Mike has more than 15 years of experience in software project management, ERP software design and implementation. He was Director of Engineering for Parallels, the leading provider of desktop virtualization, OS containers, and control panel software. He was responsible for the development of Parallels Business Automation line of products. Prior to joining Parallels, Mike was the CTO of SWsoft consulting division, responsible for the implementation of custom ERP solutions and providing customer support.

Sanket has 20 years of leadership experience in the software industry.  Most recently, he was the SVP of Fleet and Insurance at Nauto where he led their global sales, marketing and services functions.  Before Nauto, he spent 14 years at Microsoft in multiple senior leadership positions including VP Global Enterprise, Chief Evangelist of the United States and Managing Director of Microsoft India.  Sanket started his career at McKinsey & Co.

Martha Lucia has more than 20 years of experience in Human Resources. As HR Director at Microsoft, she successfully helped global teams manage through change, expansion and adjustment to market realities by enabling others in the HR function to align and impact the business in the face of local and global complexities, while partnering with senior leaders to shape and land both business and HR transformation. Martha Lucia has been responsible for initiatives across change management, talent management, and streamlining of the HR function to a more scalable model with emphasis on employee advocacy. She began her career as a recruiter and talent management specialist, and has held leadership positions in both the software and consumer goods industries.

Todd is a proven senior marketing and engineering leader with over 20 years of experience focused on leading innovative and global digital technology and operations transformation across marketing and sales – driving step-function improvements in customer experience and business success. Prior to Acumatica, Todd was with Deloitte Digital where he led a commercial marketing, sales, and partner digital transformation practice, and a customer data platform go-to-market strategy. As VP/General Manager at Microsoft, Todd piloted the digital transformation of commercial marketing and sales capabilities, built a high-scale global services and operations business, and led global privacy initiatives. Todd holds a B.A. in Economics from Connecticut College and an M.B.A. from the U.C. Berkeley Haas School of Business.

Ali has 20 years of experience in software industry and a successful track record as a high-tech entrepreneur with multiple successful start-ups. In 2001, Ali founded Everest Software and pioneered the first all-in-one ERP solution for multi-channel small and medium businesses. As founder and VP of Product Management at Everest Software, he was responsible for products and the business direction of the company prior to its successful sale to Versata Software in 2009. Before Everest, Ali founded Accel Inc, a white-box PC Manufacturer; and iCode Inc, an ERP Software Company. ERP solutions built by Ali at iCode provided Accel a scalable solution enabling rapid growth and sale of the $35-million company in 1994.

Sean Chatterjee has more than 15 years of experience in the Business Applications space, but primarily in the ERP market for the SMB. Prior to Acumatica, Sean was the Director of Business Development at Altum, a consulting firm working with the Federal Government and Non Profits. Before Altum, Sean was also part of the team at Sage North America as a National Account Manager and spent close to a decade at Everest Software, developer of a mid-market completely integrated ERP product. In his tenure at Everest, Sean worked in multiple roles – including being the lead Sales Consultant as well as the Director of the New Business Sales Team for North America.

CJ Boguszewski joins Acumatica from, most recently, Arm. He served as Head of Partners and Ecosystem for Arm’s newly created non-semiconductor line of business and helped the company acquire nearly 100 new partners over his tenure. His career in technology spans decades, and he has worked with companies in various stages of growth—leading the way through three IPOs and seven company exits by acquisition or merger. CJ is multi-lingual and significantly skilled in building lines of business, products, and system architectures. His broad vertical industry experience has established a proven track record of innovation, value realization, and digital transformation. As the Vice President of Partner Strategy and Programs, CJ manages the entire partner program—from new partner acquisition, through partner enablement, to the strategic enumeration of Acumatica’s growth strategies. CJ earned his undergraduate degree from Cornell University and his MBA from the London Business School.

Doug Johnson has over 30 years of product management and marketing experience and is currently the Vice President of Product Management at Acumatica, where he defines business requirements for flexibly deployed ERP business management software using SaaS and Cloud technologies. Prior to this position, Doug served as the VP of Marketing for Parallels, a leading provider of automation and virtualization software, where he focused on the delivery of technology through service providers in a service model. Doug has extensive business experience in marketing and general management, with a concentration on developing new products and services in global markets. Previous employers include start-ups and established companies such as AT&T. Doug has an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Duke University and an MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University.

Christian has more than 20 years of experience with business solution software, selling to and supporting customers and partners developing solutions. Prior to joining Acumatica, Christian was responsible for Solution Sales and Marketing Strategy at Microsoft, within the Microsoft Dynamics Partner team, and was the owner of the Certified for Microsoft Dynamics (CfMD) program and the Dynamics Marketplace. In particular, he focused on partners either building or selling packaged IP products and vertical solutions.

Todd Kuhns has been with Acumatica for over nine years, starting as Senior Technical Product Manager, then Director of Support and Services, and now VP of Services. During his tenure, Todd has built the Services team and its initiatives into a strong and dedicated resource for the Acumatica Ecosystem and has created an equally solid foundation for the internal Support team and programs. Prior to joining Acumatica, Todd spent 12 years as an ERP Practice Manager/Implementation Consultant/Developer/Technical Salesperson with two mid-market Partners/VARs. He also spent eight years in Information Systems Management and over three years in hardware/software sales, giving him the foundational knowledge and experience he draws on to build practical, dynamic Services programs today.

Andrew has 25 years of experience in information technology, predominantly in ERP products and platform design and development. He has been a part of Acumatica since the company’s inception. Prior to Acumatica, Andrew led the development office of SWSoft, working on the Solomon IV ERP system for Solomon Software, and then Great Plains.

Dimitri has 20 years of extensive experience in the cloud services industry, managing successful cloud programs for very large enterprise customers. He spent 12 of those years running enterprise cloud services at Unify Square—a leading provider of operations and performance management software and cloud-managed services. Prior to his time at Unify Square, Dimitri ran cloud infrastructure practices for various European companies in his native Belgium and neighboring countries, including Germany and France. As VP of Product Strategy at Acumatica, Dimitri focuses on solidifying programs that fulfill the needs of Acumatica’s wide array of customers and partners.

Jim Desler has spent a career as a communications and media relations professional working in government and the technology sector. Jim spent 17 years at Microsoft in various roles, including Communications Lead for the company’s Business Solutions division and Director of Global Communications. He started his career at Microsoft leading internet security communications and managing legal and policy issues as the company spokesperson for antitrust cases in the U.S. and Europe. Before joining Microsoft, he worked in the U.S. government, where he served as Press Secretary in the Commerce Department, directed Public Affairs for the International Trade Administration, was Communications Lead for Economic Affairs at the U.S. State Department, and served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs. Jim is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and resides in Sammamish, Washington, with his wife, teenage son, and golden retriever.

Aliya Rakimgulova has been with Acumatica since 2015. As VP of Global Support, she is responsible for product and developer support—focusing on ensuring client satisfaction, developing and retaining talent, improving customer self-service options, adding value to product quality, and resolving customers’ issues in a timely way. Prior to joining Acumatica Aliya served as VP of Global Support at Acronis, managing the company’s 24/7 support department and providing technical support in nine languages. Aliya holds a BS degree in Mathematics from Novosibirsk State University.

To his role as VP of Customer Success, Jean-Paul brings over two decades of industry leadership in ecosystem and customer success, corporate and business development, cloud and AI/ML services, and software product management and marketing. Before joining Acumatica, Jean-Paul served as SVP and GM of Siteimprove, the world leader in Digital Accessibility software. He also spent a decade building AI-driven Customer Data and Experience Platforms ecosystems and leading Global Account Sales across CloudFactory, Dun & Bradstreet, and Sitecore. He spent another decade building Enterprise and Web Content Management Platforms at Microsoft.

Robert joined EQT Partners in April 2018 and is based in London where he is focused on growth and buy-out investments in the software, fintech, payments, and data information services sectors. He was previously a Principal at Francisco Partners and has also held positions at Englefield Capital and Goldman Sachs. Robert also serves on the board of directors of RIMES Technologies (since March 2020) and has previously served on the board of directors of Click Software and Blujay. He holds a Master’s degree in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford.

Jonas is a high-profile director and advisor in the software development industry. He serves as chairman of the board at IFS, SUSE, Peltarion, and Sitecore. Jonas is also industrial advisor at EQT Partners and is a board member at Skandia and Automic Software. He previously held various senior leadership positions within Microsoft, including CEO of Microsoft Sweden. Jonas began his career working as a sales leader for consumer mobility solutions and vertical industry solutions in Europe.

Arvindh Kumar joined EQT Partners in January 2020, as a Partner in the New York office.

Arvindh has a B.S. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Prior to joining EQT Partners, Arvindh was a General Partner at ICONIQ Capital, where he was responsible for leading its technology private equity practice. Previously, he was a Principal at Thoma Bravo focused on enterprise software. Other prior roles include Prospect Capital Management and Morgan Stanley.

Franck is the former president of SAP Digital Core & Industry Solutions. He previously served as SAP’s senior vice president and COO for EMEA, president of EMEA, and global chief commercial officer. Franck began his career in 1987 when he successfully launched and ran an ERP reseller in France. Ten years later, he joined Intentia, a Swedish ERP company, where he held several key leadership roles. Franck studied mathematics and electronic engineering at Tel Aviv University.

Kim is an internationally experienced C-suite executive with over 20 years in the software, telecommunications and energy sectors. Previous roles have included Chief Customer Officer at EnergyAustralia, Chief Marketing Officer at Vodafone and VP Marketing for Salesforce (APAC). Kim is now Executive for Enterprise for MYOB, one of our OEM partners, and is also an independent board director for 86400, an Australian neobank. Kim holds an engineering degree from UNSW Sydney and a MBA from University of Sydney.

Robin Joy is the Senior Vice President of Global Alliances & Partner Development at DocuSign. She has served in various leadership positions in marketing, sales and general management at companies including Intuit, AltaVista, Clorox, and Odwalla. Robin joined DocuSign in 2012 following a role as VP of Marketing at Caring.com. Robin graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College and received her MBA from Stanford University. She was awarded a Rotary Scholarship to the University of Melbourne, where she received an MA with honors in Women’s Studies.

Kathy served as EVP and CFO at Kony, Inc., a privately held mobile applications solutions provider. She previously served as EVP, COO and CFO of Epicor Software Corporation, a privately held software company. She joined Epicor as the EVP and CFO in 2011 when the company merged with Activant Solutions Inc. Prior to Activant, Kathy held financial roles at Polycom, Inc., Documentum, Inc., Adaptec, Inc. and Price Waterhouse LLP. Kathy is a board advisor for Corel and serves on the board of directors for Poly, Code 42 and Calix, Inc.

Kathy holds a BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting from California State University, Chico.
